Owner of Success Bound Consulting, Nina Rubinstein McDaniel brings years of experience as an Independent Educational Consultant, as a college counselor, essay specialist, and admissions interviewer to her practice. She will guide your student through the college admissions process with warmth, structure, and a flexible yet proven system that empowers students without overwhelming them.


Nina’s approach is highly individualized and hands-on. She believes in building trust and meaningful connections with every client and in reducing stress for students and their families. She will be your accountability partner, providing expert guidance and support throughout the entire application and decision process.


Nina graduated Summa Cum Laude from Tufts University in 3.5 years, attended Pepperdine Law School, and received her certificate in Independent Educational Consulting from the University of California, San Diego. She mentors aspiring College Counselors and leads meetings for Independent Educational Consultants across the country to build community, support and elevate each other's practices, and stay up-to-date on the ever-changing dynamics in the college admissions world.

Based in San Diego, Nina works with students nationwide. She is deeply passionate about her work, but when she’s not counseling, she loves coaching baseball for kids with special needs, boating (looking for whales and dolphins), fishing and horseback riding with her kids, traveling, reading great books, and metalsmithing.
